Privacy Policy for “zzz Podcasts”

In App Store Connect the app may appear as “Snooze Podcast Player”. It is the same app (bundle ID com.aurarum.My-Podcasts).
1) Data Controller

2) Overview
“zzz Podcasts” is an independent podcast client: you subscribe to public RSS feeds, stream or download publisher audio, and store library data locally or optionally in iCloud. No aurarum account is required.
3) What data is processed
a) Data stored locally on your device
- Subscribed podcasts, episode metadata, queue, playback positions
- Settings (e.g. sleep timer, night window, appearance)
- Optional offline audio files
- Optional on-device transcripts and summaries
- Aggregated data for Home Screen widgets (app group)
Library data stays on the device. Audio and transcripts are not sent to aurarum.
b) Optional Apple services (only after you enable them)
- iCloud / CloudKit: metadata sync; audio files are not uploaded to iCloud
- Speech recognition: on device only, for downloaded episodes, for transcription
- Network: iTunes Search API and fetches of RSS, artwork, chapter JSON, and enclosures from podcast hosts
- CarPlay / Focus: system integration under Apple’s terms
c) Voluntary feedback to aurarum
If you send feedback via the app, your message, category, app id (“zzz Podcasts”), and optionally name/email are sent over HTTPS to www.aurarum.com and forwarded by email. Library/audio/transcript data is not included. IP address and user-agent may be stored for abuse prevention.
4) Recipients
- Apple (Search API, optional CloudKit, system services)
- Podcast hosts when fetching feeds and audio
- aurarum only for voluntary feedback
5) Purpose and legal basis
Processing is for providing app features and handling support requests. Where GDPR applies: Art. 6(1)(b), (f), and (a) for optional features.
6) No ads, no tracking profiles
The app does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
7) Retention
Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Feedback emails are deleted no later than 24 months after the request is closed, unless legal retention applies.
