Privacy Policy for “Easy Abos” (EZ Abos)

1) Data Controller
The data controller for processing in connection with this app is: aurarum, H. Klindtworth, Gorch-Fock-Ring 26, 23683 Scharbeutz, Germany. See also our legal notice.
2) Overview
“Easy Abos” (short: EZ Abos) helps you manage subscriptions, costs, and cancellation deadlines. The app primarily stores data locally on your device. No registration or aurarum account is required.
3) What data is processed
a) Data stored locally on your device
- Subscriptions (name, category, provider, owner, duration, costs, payment method, notes, cancellation status)
- Cost history, deadlines, and reminder settings per subscription
- Attachments (photos/files for contracts or confirmations), if you add them
- Master data: categories, providers, owners, payment methods, currencies, and exchange rates
- App settings (e.g. notifications, appearance, statistics dashboard)
- Aggregated data for Home Screen widgets (app group)
This data is stored locally on the device. Subscription and attachment data are not sent to aurarum.
b) Optional Apple services and features (only after you enable them)
- Camera and photo library: to scan or attach documents, if you grant permission.
- Text recognition / document import: when you import or share PDFs or images, text is processed on device to suggest a subscription draft. You review and save the details yourself.
- Notifications: for cancellation reminders, if you allow them.
- Apple Reminders: if you save dates to the Reminders app, this happens manually or per your setting; Apple’s terms apply.
- Network (exchange rates): updating rates may use a network connection.
c) Voluntary feedback to aurarum
If you send feedback through the app, the following data is transmitted via encrypted connection (HTTPS) to www.aurarum.com and forwarded by email to our support:
- your message (required)
- category (e.g. support, feature request)
- app identifier (“Easy Abos” / “EZ Abos”)
- optionally your name and email address (for a reply)
Feedback does not include subscription, attachment, or statistics data. Name and email are optional. For abuse prevention and rate limiting, your IP address and User-Agent may also be stored with the support email.
4) External recipients / third parties
- Apple (notifications, Reminders, system services): processing under Apple’s privacy policies
- aurarum (support feedback): email via our server; only when you voluntarily send feedback
- Rate sources (optional): when fetching exchange rates, providers may see technical request data (IP, time)
5) Purpose and legal basis
Processing is for providing app features (manage subscriptions, show deadlines and costs, import, reminders, backup/export) and handling support requests.
Legal bases (where GDPR applies): Art. 6(1)(b), Art. 6(1)(f), and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for optional features.
6) No advertising, no tracking profiling
The app does not use its own advertising tracking profiling or third-party analytics services.
7) Retention
Locally stored data remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Feedback already sent to aurarum and entries in Apple Reminders are not removed automatically.
Feedback is delivered as email to info@aurarum.com. These emails are deleted no later than 24 months after the request is closed, unless a legal retention duty applies.
8) Your rights and deletion
Where applicable, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
In the app: Settings let you back up, export, and delete data selectively or completely.
- On device: subscriptions, master data, attachments, settings, widget cache
- Apple Reminders: manage or delete entries in Reminders or via Easy Abos features

9) Security
Appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to protect data against loss or unauthorized access.
10) Changes
This privacy policy may be updated, e.g. for new features or legal changes. The published version applies.
